Active 8 IT Award winning IT support provider based in Peterborough is delighted to announce that it has been invited into the premier body of data protection professionals as a member of the Asigra European Partner Advisory Council. This advisory body aims to bring a very selective group of Cloud Specialist together to discuss issues that relate to a range of topics from operations, technology to best practice in the industry.

Being appointed to the Partner Advisory Council is a great honour, twelve Hybrid Partners across Europe hold positions and are seen as key influencers in the industry.

The Asigra Partner Advisory Council was initiated to increase dialog between Asigra and its partner sales channel. Participants in the Council represent a cross-section of the company’s most active partners who have been chosen for their experience in deploying Asigra-powered cloud backup services across core segments of the industry. Dependent on its partners to provide insight and guidance on customer requirements, Asigra will look upon the advisory council to expand upon the company’s knowledge base to positively impact business operations and next-generation products.

Active 8 IT secures major contract with Kiddicare and pips large IT multi-national to the post.

Active 8 IT has secured a major contract, against stiff opposition, with UK baby specialist Kiddicare to implement support systems into 10 new stores around the country.

The 24 month contract, sees Active8 IT install Citrix systems into each of Kiddicare’s 10 stores, employing approximately 100 staff at each location. Active 8 IT will also supply all the dedicated support, which will include weekends and public holidays.

Lee Bennelick, Active 8 IT’s Managing Director, commented as follows, “This is a major contract for us and one we are extremely proud to secure.” He added, “We are not only able to offer local quality but also provide a truly national service.”

He continued, “Our new offices in central Peterborough have enabled us to develop a ‘state of the art’ data centre and server room, as well as giving us plenty of space for expansion. All of which has proved ideal to provide the required support and infrastructure that Kiddicare’s project demands.”
